Oris was the first brand to create a diver’s watch animated by a Regulateur movement. The Regulateur ‘Der Meistertaucher’ has long enjoyed great success among divers due to the Regulateur movement and the accent on the centralized minute hand, as for divers it is crucial to always have a clear view of the minute hand.
For utmost readability, the watch creators have strengthened the shape of the minute hand. It is outlined in red. The hands and indices are provided with white Super-LumiNova inlay, so the diver can rely on perfect underwater visibility under any light conditions. The applied indices on the black dial are also provided with white Super-LumiNova inlays.
The sleek Aquis case is sculptured in titanium. It incorporates a helium valve at 9 o’clock and a unidirectional revolving top ring with a minute scale featured on the black ceramic inlay. The stainless steel screw-in security crown is provided with a titanium crown protection. The face of the Oris Aquis Regulateur watch is protected by a sapphire crystal domed on both sides and with anti-reflective coating inside.
The timepiece is 300-meter water-resistant.
The heart of the diver’s watch is an automatic mechanical movement - Oris Cal. 749. The mechanism is based on SW 220 with a centralized minute display. The hour is displayed at 3 o’clock, while the seconds are displayed at 9 o’clock. The date window is found at 6 o’clock.
The new Oris Aquis Regulateur Der Meistertaucher watch is secured to the wrist on a rubber strap with an extendable titanium safety clasp.
It is delivered in a set that also contains a waterproof case, a separate titanium bracelet and tools for changing the bracelet.
